We are excited to announce the official release of Zender v3.9.8, a milestone update packed with powerful system enhancements, and much-needed fixes.

What’s New in v3.9.8

New Android App

We are excited to announce the newly re-engineered Zender Gateway App. This version has been completely rewritten to ensure stable and consistent performance across all Android versions. After several days of extensive testing, we are confident that this is the most reliable and refined gateway app since Zender’s first release. Now, it's not required to make the app default sms app just to receive messages.

The new app now includes localization support, with initial languages available in English, Japanese, Arabic, and Chinese. Additional languages will be introduced in upcoming updates. The old android app in user devices must be uninstalled so the new apk can be installed.

New WhatsApp Server

The WhatsApp server has been rebuilt from the ground up using a native language, offering significantly improved stability and memory efficiency compared to the previous binary implementation.

Please note that reconnecting all WhatsApp accounts is required to use this new version, as the old server is no longer compatible and must be fully replaced. Installation and setup procedures remain the same as before.

Update Instructions

Your zender must be on v3.9.7-fix-090925 for this update!

1. Download the update zip file from here:
You do not have access to download files from our server
3. Select the update.zip file you downloaded from the first step then submit.
4. Click the clear Cache button in the admin panel.
5. Rebuild your gateway app, please follow the app builder documentation. Select v3.9.8 as build number.
6. Setup your new WhatsApp server. You must setup the WA server from scratch, the old WA server data is not compatible with the new WA server. It is required that you reconnect all the WhatsApp accounts to this new WA server.
7. All done.

    Hello, can you tell me for which version of sender you have planned the function of feat: messenger system , I was expecting it for this update according to the dev tracker.

    Removed WhatsApp group contacts export (Not supported)

    Why did you remove this feature. You know it's easy to collect group number.

      This is not supported anymore. WhatsApp has started hiding the phone numbers of accounts.

    I tried to update it gave me an error but then after clearing the cache I saw that it is now version 3.9.8 BUT I did the usual procedure to update the WhatsApp server and it is still the same version v3.9.7-fix-090925

    Faced a few problems with the update:

    (1) During update (Step 1-3), faced a "Something went wrong" error popup message when uploading the update. However, the system info in the admin area changed itself to V3.9.8 -- so I went ahead and cleared the cache per the next step.

    (2) When adding a device, was able to download the rebuilt gateway apk. However, when I login to the system or use the QR code scanner on the app, I get a "failed to create a device" error message. I tried to login manually with email/password, but it also refused to take my info and add the device.

    (3) WhatsApp Server did not work. I deleted the old WA server on my Windows so that I can start from scratch. Then replaced with the WA files I have downloaded from https://cdn.titansystems.ph/wa/windows.zip -- I entered all my settings unto the app, then clicked Start - but nothing happens.

    TROUBLESHOOTING TASKS DONE:

    - I tried to upload the contents of update.zip file manually via FTP to overwrite what is there. Is there a manual way to update the database with the changes specific to v3.9.8?

      Regarding the windows WA binary, we'll check this, at the moment, you can keep using the old WA server.

        Got WhatsApp server to work (using older binaries)

        However, SMS still couldn't connect. Downloaded the update file again as instructed. Re-uploaded it. Even rebuilt the app. Installed on smartphone. Then tried to connect my account via manual login or QR code method. I am still getting the "failed to create a device" error message.

        Can you double-check your systems again please? Thanks!

        Okay, it worked. Just in case others are having the same issues as me:

        - Since I created a backup of the database and the Zender files (v3.9.7-fix-090925) prior to upgrading to v.3.9.8, I went ahead and restored that backup to get me back to the v.3.9.7 environment. From there, I re-downloaded the new update.zip file and uploaded it to the system. Used the build gateway from my previous try, and now everything works.
